What is grieving the Holy Ghost? This is important especially for born again believers in Christ. I’ve done a blog addressing such in a different way too. It was entitled: Taking up your cross.  So below in research briefly I wanted to take a look at what others say so I have taken some pointers. It means to deny yourselves daily those fleshly ways of sin that died with you when you were baptized/believers baptism or saved and you made a choice to live in Christ. More or less to be holy. You are in the world and now the world may hate you as you are in Christ. At times God or circumstance may have you somewhere as you can minister to others. You can end up grieving the Holy Ghost so you should put on the full armor of God.  You must take up your cross daily. Following Christ requires being a doer of the word/faithfulness (FAITH). Of course there is more to this than that. Do not be hypocrite's. Pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ. Now there are people that will see this different. They may say I am  in the world and have this and that and they may still be in the world apart from Christ. Some even with Christ but they cannot let go of certain things as they see life in things of the world. Now what it meant in the 1st Century as today may differ/be different in various ways. Seek things from above. If you love the world you must re-examine your selves.

The seven gifts of the Holy Spirit are wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord. While some Christians accept these as a definitive list of specific attributes, others understand them merely as examples of the Holy Spirit's work through the faithful.

The Holy Spirit not only transforms us into a new creation by entering into us. He also changes us by bringing us into an intimate relationship with God. What is considered blasphemy of the Holy Spirit?

"Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit" is conscious and hardened opposition to the truth, "because the Spirit is truth" (1 John 5:6). ... That is why the sin of blasphemy against the Spirit cannot be forgiven, since one who does not acknowledge his sin does not seek to have it forgiven.

The Holy Spirit within a person is the presence of the living Christ within that person. To grieve the Holy Spirit is to cause sorrow, distress, and emotional pain to Jesus Christ Himself. Through His presence in us Jesus is witness to our every word, thought and act. Some have the potential to grieve Him.

The words we speak

Ephesians 4:29 asks us to consider the words we speak. We are advised to stick to talk that builds up, helps and benefits others, bringing joy, pleasure [grace]. We should assume that corrupt communication is talk that tears people down, hurts them and is contrary to their best interests.

You may not have thought of this but did you know that we can grieve the Holy Spirit? What does that mean and how do we do that? Is there a difference between quenching the Spirit of God and grieving Him? If you don’t know the answers, then let’s study the Word together to see what it tells us so we don’t grieve the Spirit of God.

 

“Quenching” is what you do to the Spirit of the Living God while “grieving” is how He responds to your actions.

We are to put away the old conversation, the old man

We are to put away the lying, stealing, and all things pertaining to the old life and be renewed in our minds (Eph 4: 1, 22-23). And do the right thing of being kind to one another and tenderhearted and forgiving each other.

When we put away the old nature and take on the new nature, the opposite of grief is happening. The Spirit is joyful with us. When we do the deeds of the flesh (sin), we distress and grieve the Holy Spirit of God.

John wrote in his epistle, 1 John 2:20, 27 that we have an unction from the Holy One and ye know all things; but the anointing ye have received of him abideth in you and ye need not that any man teach you; but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Both Paul and John teach how we should walk in the light as He is in the light. This means we are to be doers of the Word. It is when we stop applying the truth to our lives that we quench the Spirit and thereby we grieve the Holy Spirit of God.

God wants us to think of others. We are members of the body of Christ and when we ignore our Christian family, we are not living out His will for us.

Jesus said in Acts 1:8 but ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Sam-aria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

God gave us His Spirit to enable us, to be our strength, to give us power in the name of Jesus.

When we rely on our own strength to work out the solutions we need, we are not relying on the Spirit of God. Holy Spirit is our source of power but when we ignore His power, we quench Him and grieve the Holy Spirit of God.

 There isn’t anything we can do for the Lord in our own strength. We need to rely on the Spirit of God. The Spirit enables us to do all things through Him. When we rely on ourselves, we quench Him and we grieve the Holy Spirit.

 

Turn with me to Matthew 12:22-32 as we take a quick peek at what Jesus said to the Pharisees. Jesus had just healed a man who was blind and dumb and possessed with a devil.

The Pharisees immediately rationalized that Jesus cast out the devil by the power of Beelzebub, the prince of devils.

As usual, Jesus stayed calm as He corrected them. He poked holes at their theology with His questions, Matthew 12:26-27:

How would Satan’s kingdom stand if Satan cast himself out?

If I am casting out devils by Beelzebub (as you say I am), by whom do your followers cast them out?

 

In order not to grieve Him, let’s choose to be doers of the word and not hearers only. By applying what we learn from the Word to our lives, we will please God. And when we please God, we won’t grieve the Holy Spirit.

When the Spirit is moving in you, let Him move. Maybe you’re praying for someone and you sense in your spirit to pray in a certain direction, then do it. "Be sensitive and obedient to the still."

Read your Bible, study the Word, commune with God daily, be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2) and walk the talk. Live out what you are learning from the Word.

 Let your life be in one accord with the Spirit and put a smile on His face.

In addition to sinning as the result of anger, Ephesians 4 offers other ways believers can grieve the Spirit. These include living like unbelievers (Ephesians 4:17-19), lying (Ephesians 4:25), stealing (Ephesians 4:28), using bad language (Ephesians 4:29), bitterness (Ephesians 4:31), unforgiveness (Ephesians 4:32), and sexual immorality (Ephesians 5:3-5).

God's desire is for the believer in Christ to live differently than before coming to faith in Christ. Living as the "new self" we become through Jesus Christ brings God joy and will not quench or grieve the Spirit of God who lives within those who believe.

But the Bible tells us God delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished (II Peter 2:7-9). Nothing is said about Lot’s wife being vexed over the sins of Sodom. Lot’s wife grieved the Spirit until she was so weak that she failed God; she wanted the life of Sodom, not what the Lord was leading her into. Loving the world more than she loved God, Lot’s wife looked back to where her heart was. But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt (Genesis 19:26). Not until she looked back did she grieve the Holy Spirit out of her life. Her daughters had not grieved God like their mother, and they were able to escape God’s hand of judgment.

Ananias and his wife, members of the Early Church, each told just one lie, and God killed them. Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband (Acts5:9,10.) God will pay any price to keep His people pure and clean. He proved that by giving Jesus.

Truly that is a lot for a Christian to live and obey. But it is possible living in the spirit instead of the flesh. You cannot serve two masters. You must accept and believe this. Praise the lord.

ABORTION RECAP: Recently there is a lot of news coming out of the United States about the nominee for the Supreme court Amy Coney  Barrett which of course is a woman and there is focus on abortion. Even in the presidential debates that is a focus on packing the court, "perhaps" abortion as well. There are some that are for a woman's rights to choose (Planned Parenthood) as they put it in digestible terms to practice not to have children. What is the problem? Children are being murdered in the thousands and millions as reported around the world. We may sort of feel God is none existent but he exists. This is horrible news as I read it's about exercising the law of the land at the end of the day preferred/instead of what may be wanted/desired by those whom oppose abortion. Abortion is murder. Its wrong. Every now and then I hear a sermon on this issue and I heard one recently that was shocking. It’s on sermon audio.

The modern generation is mostly sinful and the same as in the days of Noah. “But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:” Matthew  12:39

A Woman Who’s Been Fighting Abortion Since 1979

To date Abortion at calculated somewhere between 25 million to 30 million worldwide every year. That number is a basic figure as there are Countries that don't report such or the truth as I read. The Jewish people that don’t believe in Christ (Whom came 1st time) are BLIND as a bat. Their coming false messiah whom is not the real Jesus Christ (Yeshua) from the bible cannot save babies and will not save the world. Christ already started that off as he died on the cross for the sins of the world. John 3:16 When are they going to get it? When is the world going to wake up? Abortion is murder. Evil it is. If you are a young teen/people not saved and sucking the world you are in danger of such. Young & old sinners can perish. Judgment is coming. God is not happy. Wake up and get saved. We truly have arrived in the end times as we see everything that has been told to us to look for. Christ told us what to look for and we see all the signs out there. I will update this blog more later. For now, I want to bring it to your attention that abortion is murder and hell is a real place. Jesus Christ is real. For the time being I plead with you to turn away from sin and turn to the God of the bible if you don't know him.  The great falling away in society was predicted. And we hear about all sort of abomination happening like gay marriage and especially abortions. They just past a controversial law allowing abortions even when children have made it and are born alive in the united states. They say Donald Trump stands against abortions. There are those that speak about God, but they don’t know him at all.  I will place some links and video’s herein where you can see for yourselves what is occurring.

 God is not a man that he should lie. God is faithful to forgive you but you MUST repent and turn from sins. You are not your own as you were purchased with a price. You MUST control your sexual desires outside of marriage. Fornication leads to sin and sin leads to hell. Hell is not fiction but REAL. If anyone tells you hell does not exist they are liars. Stop killing unborn children as God is not okay with this. It will provoke him to anger. Have you seen what is going on around the world. In case you are sleeping take a look HERE. Young people think about where you will end up after this life! Hell or heaven! No in-between.

You know they say these times are just like in the days of Noah and guess what it is TRUE.  You hear about evil and you experience it but it has spread like cancer and it's apparent that people are on the way to hell as fast as they can go.

People have seen hell in near death experiences.  There are people that KNOW without a doubt that GOD is real and many will perish. The devil is real. The bible says that sinners are of the devil and man will stand judgment for "every" idol word spoken. All Liars will have their part in the lake of fire. Stand up against Abortions. We are not God and he forbade murder in his commandments. Jesus Christ said you have made to none effect the word of God through your own "tradition". Abortion is the tradition of a woman right to choose and KILL. It is human error/massive SIN. It is against the heart of Christ/God and heartless. Its plain EVIL!

He is the rejected cornerstone. Turn from sin. Repent or YOU will perish. Abortion is MURDER. With 41 millions baby murders (abortions) in the USA since Roe v. Wade what they are saying is a woman has the right to murder because the state law gives her that right. They make legal what God says leads to hell.  They take up council actually against GOD. He knows! Who REALLY loved YOU? Jesus Christ did. Jesus Christ died for ALL sins on the cross but preached about hell. If your hand causes you to stumble cut it off. God avenges the death of unborn murdered babies. I was once one of the ones walking by the lusts of the world. And what a waste of time that is. My friends were lustful and not real Christians. Sin XX breeds sin. There is a solid profound reason GOD is unseen and you MUST have faith in him. There is also a solid profound reason God FORBADE IMAGES but humans disobey GOD by the millions. IDOL WORSHIPERS of every sort they are! But the bible say's on the day of judgement there will be crying and gnashing of teeth because so many were deceived and never loved the truth nor repented, nor turned away from sin. They cry and want, want, want but righteousness and biblical TRUTH they ignore/reject making to NULL effect the word of the living GOD. Do you REALLY think losing your soul is worth the cost of perishing into hell? Stop wasting your time on carnal things and get saved. So many people work ALL week and don't KNOW the REAL GOD. The devil exists and he deceives the whole world. Wake UP NOW.

When the lord Jesus Christ told the parable about the man selling everything to buy a field he was meaning/drawing a comparison that what is required to enter that narrow door is to pick up your cross and follow HIM. Do what the world rejects and the price is GREAT. God alone you will SERVE. SO MANY WILL PERISH.  WAKE UP!!  We are just a little bit/MASSIVELY greedy/ignorant & selfish.

They stand against abortion and we are in the end times without a doubt. People love the sins of the flesh. People HATE the biblical truth. Hell is REAL. Turn to GOD before you end up there people.

In this video the doctor came to realize what he was doing was wicked and heartless. You see why a loving God created HELL. Is this love or ignorance of the gospel and GOD. Many have GOD on their lips but appose him and deny him. Abortion is MURDER and premeditated sin.

In this video the street preacher has an image of a dead baby and he is protesting probably at a baby killing mill. He asks the child there if he/she knows what is in the image and the child tells him it is a dead baby. There are countless images online one can view and people are so attracted to the flesh that MANY people actually believe God is none existent, and that the bible is full of either fiction or fairy-tails. The bible is REAL and TRUE. People take birth control pills so they don't get pregnant and men sometimes wear condoms but children are still born out of wedlock and countless get aborted and murdered. I realize it is legal in some cities/countries but it is biblical murder and wrong. Christ said many don't know HIM. He is real and outer darkness is real. Please learn not to give to temptation.   Seek God and people pray and do what you can to educate and overcome this horrible problem.

In this video the street preacher is PREACHING the TRUTH in a way that seems strange to the person listening. When we are so drawn away and wordily this seems normal but he is right. Sexual diseases are around and people should be careful and know this line of thinking that is with error leads to trouble and is not what God meant for people. Quite the opposite. When you expose your mind to that way of thinking it could lead you to a life of addiction, troubles and enslavement. This is not what you want. If you put filth in your mind you will dish out filth. Put the word of God in there and walk with Christ. He is the way, the truth and the life. The wicked HEART will not inherit the Kingdom of God but of darkness. Think!!! Repent!!! Turn to God people.

Many people go to college and university and don't KNOW God but the vile language of the world they "already" know. Strange sequence of events.  Education that is lacking what should be 1st and not last nor overlooked. Wake Up!
