I want to be in the presence of the lamb
The actor and musician Sting whom was born Gordon
Sumner has a play entitled the last ship that is playing in Toronto Canada. Sting said when he was growing up he
lived on a street in the north east coast of England where they made big ships, and when those big ships were finished
they would sail them out of the port to sea. Many men from his town worked on those huge vessels. Sting thought about his life but did not want to be a workmen on those ships. He wanted a life bigger where he would leave that town, that street where he grew up to never return.
He could not imagine himself working on those massive ships everyday. There came a day that he seen the Queen
mother drive by and in a very expensive car when the Royals would make their visit as he was a small boy with a flag waving. He thought I want to be in that car one day.
He dreamed of writing songs and playing them for large audiences all over the
world. He vision-ed himself with a beautiful wife and a huge house in the
Country with a family. So far so GOOD. He thinks either he is lucky or something went right as he dreamed hard enough that it came to be. Truly many of us have talents but there is more to it than meets the eye.
Jesus Christ talked about the man who was rich who was
unwilling to give up his riches and pick up his cross and follow him. They say that Satan is the God of this world
and it is very true. We are told in scripture to
store up treasures for heaven and not for earth. The vision the living God had even before the
foundations of the earth were laid was for his son Jesus Christ (Yeshua) to be born of a virgin and be the lamb
that takes away the sins of the world.
Heaven is referred to as home.
They have a saying that we are just passing through earth but our
citizenship is in heaven. That is a christian saying. Those who
truly love God will pick up their cross and want to be present with the lord
in heaven for what we call eternity with the lord. We
do not want to be absent from the body and in torment in hell. We want to be saved and destined for eternal
life with Jesus Christ in heaven. We want
to be in the presence of the lamb being the KING of all KINGS Jesus Christ. It is written a friend of the world makes
themselves an enemy of God. It is not
possible to serve two masters. This is
one reason Christ taught one must deny themselves. You must grown spiritually and have the rebirth of the heart. God does do heart transplants. You need a heart that will obey God. Now, just like in music they might say someone like Elvis Presley opened a
door for many other entertainers. Jesus Christ
being the word of God opened a door to eternal life with God, the restoration of the relationship between God and man by the shedding his blood on the
cross as death was swallowed up. Oh death where is your sting! Christ destroyed the works of the devil. He completed the 1st phase of the mission and will return again. He said it is finished before he drew his last breath on the cross. God made a
way where there was none by sending his only begotten son to die on the
cross. He took all our sins upon himself and yes he could of had Angels to help him get down off the cross but that was not his vision or mission.
There are spiritual laws that people
break. When this happens as it did with God's chosen people there had to be punishment. Especially as God made a covenant with them. Today there are many celebrities
that don't know the Christ of the bible.
Many of them are engulfed in a life of entertainment and glory as they
are glorified by the world. Many of them though appear to be comfortable as they think this is an illusion. They live extremely sinful life styles. Many of them appear happy on the outside but the truth is they are at the mercy of the devil un-benounced to them. God is a
jealous God because he knows that there are people that will lose their
soul and he told us what he expects from mankind but mankind in general refuses and lives extremely sinful. Man loves darkness and he hates the light that shows his sinful nature. We are told to put on the whole armour of God because the wiles of the devil are so ever present and steep. Religion has enslaved many people to deception and even go
as far as playing the game of Christianity but never having faith in the only
begotten son of God. If you are a
celebrity let me tell you Jesus Christ of the bible is risen and real. I challenge you to read the bible followed up
by prayer. There is a way that appears
right onto a man or woman and in the end it will not lead to heaven but it will
lead you to outer darkness. If you want to be
in heaven with Jesus Christ than you must seek him and call upon his name. The vanity
of life fades away and can not save you.
Christ paid the price on the cross in full.
God looks at a man's heart and Christ did say that there are those men
that appear all beautiful on the outside to people but within they are full of
all extortion and dead mans bones. God knows who the wicked are. Jesus Christ
came so you could have life but many choose death. Sin leads to death. This is the time to get right with God and
turn from your sins. No one is
promised another day. God is saying many people are storing up treasures on earth but your life may be required of you this very day. Self glorification is actually sinful. The heart is abundantly wicked and you may think your Honorable in front of people but in God's eyes you are a rag full of dirt and within full of all evils. Hell is REAL!
