What is a Christian? ((What is a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ?)) 

I suggest you watch this video too. Specifically video time/reference: 1625 - 22:41. What a wonderful sermon by the late Billy Graham. As the devil/Lucifer deceives the whole world as to "whom" the person of Jesus Christ really is. 

" Truly, the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. " (2 Corinthians 4:4 ; Revelation 12:9 )

The interesting part of this is Billy Graham preaches on how to live the Christian Life. Remember the Lord Jesus Christ said "I am the life" not only the way and the truth. 

Some people have a desire to be a Christian as something they are or something they are not. They've never learned how to be a true Christian nor what is a true Christian is/believes. Many people are confused with what is the true Christian Life. For instance, some people think that if you're born into a Christian Country or even a Christian family that you're automatically a Christian. A Christian is somebody who follows the biblical Jewish Jesus Christ. It's somebody who believes in the doctrine of the Gospel. That means the 66 books of the world standard the King James Bible. Basically, Billy Graham said that the Bible says that you can't inherit Christianity. It's not by flesh and blood nor the will of man. Billy said there's nothing you can do to make yourself automatically acceptable to the kingdom of God. Billy said you can go to church, you could be a moral virtuous person, you can live a decent life but that doesn't make you a Christian. You can have Christian characteristics but that does not make you a Christian. Billy said there are thousands of people on a given night when he originally preached this sermon that were thinking that they are Christians but they are not Christians? In modern day we know this is the case all over the world. In the narrowest sense of the term you must be born again and you must receive the Lord Jesus Christ in your heart. There are people that have never been born again and have never received Christ in their heart and if they died, they would not go to heaven. Receiving Christ in your heart is called a circumcision of the heart in modern times as we know it. A Christian is a person that has had an encounter with Jesus Christ. We acknowledge that he was born Jewish and that he was named (Jewish Name) Yeshua, Emmanuel God is with us. A Christian is someone who has made a decision and accepted Christ as Lord and Savor. If you are a true Christian then you have accepted him and you have committed your life to him. If you are a hypocrite and you are ad-whoring the world then you are not a Christian. The Bible says such people deceive their own souls. The devil deceives the whole world and many people are victims. The Bible says that a man should be studied and show himself approved on-to God. A true Christian will live a life of reduction and submission to the gospel standards. They will obey the teachings of the true biblical Jewish Jesus Christ. He himself said my sheep hear my voice and they obey me.  Just like he told the Rich Young ruler to sell his possessions, give the money to the poor and pick up his cross and follow him only then will a true believer have treasures in heaven. Because Yeshua being Jesus Christ said that the way is indeed narrow. The word of God tells us that there is a way that appears the right way to a man/woman but in the end, it is the way of death. 

There needs to come a moment in a sinner's life when they realized they're on the wrong path and they need to repent of that way and make a change. There needs to be conviction and not just lips moving. (Lip Service!) You have to receive Christ by faith as Lord and savior. As Billy Graham said this is the starting point but for many people Christ does not live in their heart. The Christian is someone whom in Christ dwells. You know just yesterday I was thinking about how Christ said you must abide in me and I and you or else you have no life. And in one of his parables he made reference to the branch that don't abide being cut off and cast into the fire. John 15:6 He himself said without whom you have no life and it is impossible for you to do anything. "The moment you receive Christ the Holy Spirit comes into your heart and gives you a new moral nature and now you have power and strength." That power and strength is incredible. Many people that were drug addicts or addicted to cigarettes, even addicted to sexual sins such as pornography or having outright immoral characteristics God changed them from the inside out. No one can live the Christian Life until they have been to the cross and receive Christ as their lord and savior. The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross and he shed his blood for our sins but you must come and receive him. That is an act of your will. Intellectually you say yes, I believe. Emotionally you might have had an emotional experience but that is just not enough. You must say I will receive Christ. You must say I will give my life to Christ. But after this something else must take place. That something else is a change must take place in your life. This is known as newness of life when God gives you a new spirit or a new heart. The circumcised heart where you abide in the Lord must be real. He now knows you and you come to know him. From my experience this is an exceptional incredible privilege and experience. The Bible says behold all things have passed away and all things have become new. There should be a change in your attitude and a change in the way you live and especially a change towards God. The Bible says a man or woman must love God with all their heart, mind or soul. You must love God supremely. You must put God first in everything. You must become a servant of the Lord and not live for yourself but live for him and his cause. It's better said it's not my will that be done but yours. Many people are doing their will and not God's will. There needs to be a change in your attitude towards yourself. No longer are you eagle-eccentric. No longer are things done just for self or to please self. There needs to be a change in your attitude towards your neighbor. The Bible says you must love your neighbor as yourself. So, you would ask who is my neighbor? It's whoever you meet that has a need and doesn't know Christ or is in pain of some sort. It could be people you despise and hate. You must have a prayer life. Many Christians preach the gospel. There are those that will tell you, you are not saved by works and sort of sell you easy believe-ism. This is false teaching. What this is, is get saved and just continue the deceived sort of self-serving lifestyle. Wait to be rapture (d) out of here for some. But the Lord Jesus Christ covered this in his ministry when he said on the day of judgment many will be told he does not know them nor hence knows where they are from and he will instruct them to get away from him.  Matthew 7:21 kjv

 

A true Christian being men or woman will have an interest in biblical prophecy. They will like the things that the real God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob (I AM) likes and hate the things that God hates. A true Christian with a circumcised heart will have a huge change/maybe not noticed to blind people but they will not be in accordance with how they used to think or even act when they were deceived. A true Christian will have an understanding/learn what spiritual fornication really is. He or she will despise false teaching which the world is full of. There's probably no one that ever prayed a prayer and became a Christian. There needs to be faith. There needs to be an action taken just as referenced in this blog and by the late preacher Billy Graham.

True bible believing Christians grow spiritually and serve the lord. True Christians should share the gospel/message and honor God in spirit & Truth. The devil thinks of the things that be of man. A Christians should see the value as less is more and narrow is that door. A true Christians MUST forgive but not befriend the world. James 4:4
