Shortening of the great
tribulation

Matthew
24:22-24 King James Version
22 And except those days should be
shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake
those days shall be shortened.
The
conditions and those days..
23 Then if any man shall say unto
you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24 For there shall arise false
Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch
that, if it
were possible, they
shall deceive the very elect.
Now let get to the
point of the matter. It is addressed in Matthew 24:3
3 And as he sat upon the mount
of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall
these things be? and
what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? (Future)
Makes
me think of the watchman. Especially in the last days. Well in that time
of old the destruction of the temple still had to happen. The temple was
destroyed a couple times. But he eventually likened that to the destruction of
his temple and how it should be raised up again on the third day. But then
there is talk about the time being shortened for the Elects sake as otherwise no flesh could/would otherwise have
been saved.
Now
look at the next verse Matthew 24:5
5 For many shall come
in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Did we/do we experience the situation of Matthew 24:5? Of
course. Many exist on earth today that precisely fit this very scripture &
description.
Now take a look at Matthew 24:6-8
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours
of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass,
but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation,
and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and
earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
We
have all this in front of us today. We have Israel being surrounded by her
enemies and threatened. We seem to have a little bit of peace with certain
prophecies being fulfilled with Israel but at the same time we have Israel
being threatened by those creating nuclear weapons that threaten Israel let
alone other nations and those in certain parts of the world. Including all
Israel’s enemies that we hear about sometimes in the news media attacking
Israel. We hear about the war in Syria. We hear about the tensions regarding
Israel between Palestinians and Jews. We know about the war that occurred in
Afghanistan. We also hear about the extreme weather patterns around the world
including earthquakes, flooding, tornadoes and other violent weather patterns
and conditions. We hear of the Ruptures of Volcanoes. Now we have the worldwide
plague the corona-virus. And we do hear about rum-ours of wars. We hear about
all the persecution of Christians around the world. We hear of
terrorism. We hear about all the riots and protests as extreme as it is.
We have had the protests being the rebellion against God from the LGBT
communities around the world. We have prejudice people. They have had the fires
in Australia and the loss of countless animal life. Millions of miles of acres
were destroyed. Burnt to a crisp. We have abortions in the millions around the
world and gay marriage. Even now with the border crisis in the United States
and the lock-downs the economies of the world are being destroyed. We have
perplexity of Nations. We have the blaming between nations of certain things.
We have the attack on freedom of speech. It seems as bad is now known as good
and good as bad. So as complex as it gets we have the birth pangs for sure.
Now
as written in Matthew 24:10 And then shall many
be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
How is this possible? Well we know that there are many who
think they are Christians and serve a mentality that sets them at stubborn
rebellion against those whom are true Christians. There are many different
groups. Not that they can’t be awoken out of their sleep. In fact they are
probably enemies of Israel and of the real God. Even of the real Messiah. And
the ideology of Baal worship for whatever it truly is some is deep rooted in
darkness. Of course history records the wars between certain sectors of
religious groups. But in actual fact it is much more complicated than meets the
eye. There are many factions, oppositions against each other. Example: Atheist,
the rich and greedy, totalitarianism, (communist regimes) and so on. Not to
mention the opposing unspecified numerous religions of the world. Then of
course we have the wicked and evil spiritual forces as we wrestle not
against flesh and blood. Ephesians 6:12 John 10:10
So to tally what’s at hand we have the false prophets and the
in-equity of many betraying one another have been evident in the past. They are
still. You could say we have the prosperity preachers but that pales in
comparison to the above as it goes so much deeper, further than that.
Now then in Matthew 24:13 Jesus tells us that those who
endure till the end shall be saved. Then when we get to Matthew 24: 14 And this gospel of
the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto
all nations; and then shall the end come.
That’s what we have today. The gospel being preached around
the world. With modern technology it made it possible for people to hear the
word of God around the globe.
So then Jesus tells us about the great tribulation and how
those in that day will have to flee to the mountains. This is future when
Israel will be attacked. During the tribulation period is what Christians I
perceive believe. There will be great distress. He tells us about the women
with children and how hard it will be for them in that day and hour. Some of
this was experienced in the past as well.
Then look at these next verse
Matthew 24: 21 For then shall be great tribulation,
such as was not since the beginning of
the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
What
did we have after the beginning of the world? Came later. Noah’s flood. ( 4,359 years ago). Weren’t the dinosaurs wiped out? We also read about the Giants and
the interbreeding with daughters of men who interbreed with the (sons of God) “genesis” 6 by what may be perceived as fallen
angels known as Nephilim. (That’s a Bible study in of itself.) 6:44 pm 3-27-21
Now there is word that the dinosaurs were wiped out before the flood.
Noah’s flood time

“Using the Bible, well-documented historical events, and some math, we find that the Flood began approximately 4,359 years ago in the year 1656 AM or 2348 BC. Some may look for an exact date (i.e., month and day), but we are not given that sort of precision in Scripture.”
Now
we get to the part of the day being shortened. It’s written in Matthew 24 22 And except those days should be
shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those
days shall be shortened.
As for the elects sake those days
shall be shortened. But
then again Christ reassures them that there will be many false prophets and
false Christs and not to follow them as to go look in some chamber. Don’t be
deceived. You won’t find Jesus Christ in some chamber or in the
desert. Don’t believe their lies because when he does come back it will be
evident. These false prophets will perform great signs and wonders and
deceive multitudes. Even the elect.
So
what will be the sign of Christ’s second coming so we are not deceived. It
tells us in Matthew 24: 27 For as the lightning
cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the
coming of the Son of man be.
Just like you see lightning when you look up in the sky it
will be evident around the world when he comes back. When he talks about the
carcass that is because there will be great death upon the face of the earth
including mourning just as there was in Noah’s day. Most likely dead
humans and dead animals. Then in Matthew 24:29 the lord tells us about the
conditions of those days. Look what it says..
Seems silly: He’s not coming back to Mars or some other
planet.
29 Immediately after
the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not
give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of
the heavens shall be shaken: The earth will go through great distress.
Now he tells us what he’s going to do when he comes back and
how it will be evident. This might be likened onto the rapture of the Church.
As
written in Matthew 24:30-31 the sight of his coming brings mourning to the
tribes of the earth but it also says Jesus Christ will come with great glory. ((Amen)) And he instructs
the angels to gather his elect from the four corners of the earth. (Gather
the wheat into his barn)
Matthew
24 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then
shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man
coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a
great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the
four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
So
he tells us this generation will not pass away until all these things come to
be. His word will not pass away. He tells us no man knows the hour but only his
father who is in heaven. Not even the angels. But in any regard always be ready
as you never know he might be right at the door. He even likens his coming to
Noah’s day. They were eating and drinking in Noah’s day and they were taken by
surprise. We have the same thing today in essence. People are just greedy and
trying to reap the world. Falling away!!! There were great evils upon the face
of the earth in Noah’s day as there are today. See Noah warned them just as
they’re being warned today but countless people didn’t listen and the flood
came and took them all away. Then he again stresses the condition for women in
those days and he tells us to keep watch because you never know when he’s
coming.
Now
in Matthew 24: 45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his
lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
He talks about the faithful and wise servant. Let me stress
that again faithful and wise servant. So he says if he finds the faithful
servant so doing and not being slack he will be rewarded. And when he
comes if he finds that described servant so doing he will be blessed in so
much that he will make him ruler over all his goods.
You know we have the fear of the Lord. We have the wise and
otherwise. The learned and prudent. He sums up the wicked servant who abuses
others in the household and how he will be cut asunder.
Now for the synopsis with this chapter of Matthew 24 to end.
So the Messiah is quite serious. Look what is written in Matthew
24 50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for
him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the
hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
So
to sum it up he/wicked servant will be appointed his portion. What is he
talking about because he tells us about hypocrites and weeping and gnashing of
teeth. Are they getting a promotion? Such a wicked servant will be cast in
outer darkness being hell of course. Henceforth, I never knew you. You see that
servant will be caught off guard.
Explaining
the shortening of time ... not
to get too complicated or confusing but to explain (The blue letterBible.)
"Jesus was teaching that God in the past had
already shortened the Great Tribulation. He did so in the sense that in the
past He determined to cut it off at a specific time rather than let it continue
indefinitely. In His omniscience, God knew that if the Great Tribulation were
to continue indefinitely, all flesh would perish from the earth. To prevent
that from happening, in the past God sovereignty set a specific time for the
Great Tribulation to end.
Said another way, God, in
His omniscience, knew that if He let the Great Tribulation go 1320 days (an
arbitrary number for the sake of illustration), then all flesh would be wiped
out. Therefore, in eternity past when God was planning this time of history, He
cut it short to 1260 days, so that the elect would in fact be saved.”

So before the foundation of the world were laid God already
has made his plan to cut the time short regarding the great tribulation of 1260 days. Very
interesting. So in hindsight if this wasn’t done no flesh on the earth could be saved. All
would have been wiped out.

Foot notes: we have past prophecies and future prophecies.
We have John’s revelation vision. He’s talking about his second coming. He
tells us about the fig tree. He gives us a clue to look for. The devil knows
his time is short.
Extended footnotes. Heard Pastor Charles Lawson sermon and he went into the book of Malachi and Matthew 11:14-15 He talks about the prophecy about the return of Elijah has prophesied.
