Incorruptible seed

 

 

1 Peter 1:23-24

King James Version

23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

 

24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away

 

 

We know that the biblical non-pagen Jesus Christ was born of a virgin.  An angel Gabriel appeared unto Mary as she found favour with God (God blessed her) and the angel Gabriel told her not to be afraid that she would bear a child and she was given the name to name him. Luke 1:26 to 56 He was not born on earth of corruptible seed. He was born of a virgin. But he did feel the same things that we felt or feel. He felt abandoned. He felt empathy and compassion for people . Why have you forsaken me? To think he died at 33 years old. Now that’s a young man. There are children that die early including babies. But the biblical Lord Jesus Christ had a ministry. He also said his kingdom is not of this world. So then you got to ask yourself what was Lucifer that later became known as Satan born of? Was he born of incorruptible seed? You see because Jesus said that he was a liar and the father there-of even a murderer from the beginning. What beginning? When he was created by God? The Bible says that we will be judging angels. 1 Corinthians 6:3-5 In essence the things that Christians are taught in their worship and in scripture are only a shadow of things to come. Perhaps the Sabbath is a shadow of things to come. We have a fallen nature. But we have corrupted our nature even worst. The dog has returned to his own vomit. 2 Peter 2:22 Those things we cannot see being principalities of evil or what the Bible refers to as demons or fallen angels know us. They've had centuries to study us. They don't die like humans and they are created a little above humans. Things of such do exist because Christ was no liar. So you got to ask yourself why did God create the world in this way. The word of God says that he put life and death before us and to choose life. Some preach that life is a test. Is it? Well we know that people came to Biblical Salvation. Amen : We know that Christ / (Holy Ghost) changes the hearts of Wicked men. The logos being the word of God does can transform a life from Satan to God. That is men and women change. Some become born again. We also know that pride comes before a fall. That is something even professing Christians claim that they have done away with. I do see evidence of boldness in preaching the gospel. Nonetheless I do see pride present in many. It is hard to deny yourself when you spent years feeding yourself the world and-befriending it. James 4:4 You see we can read the Bible and learn what Jesus said about the Pharisees that have dead men's bones. White washed tombs. They appeared righteous to men but within they are/were full of all iniquity. Dead Man’s Bones and indulgences. They are/were hypocrites. Now such attributes exist in many around the world. But the world is a very big place. The world is made up of many different nations and vast huge miles of territory with different languages including different races/nationalities. In the world there are countries that suppress freedoms and are in the hands of the evil one. There are nations that are so far removed from true righteousness that have their people worship their totalitarian regimes / (governments and leaders.) Such people as many of them never experienced the glory of the gospel of the Biblical Lord Jesus Christ. We thank the missionaries and the preachers including true Christians or pastors / Churches who have stood up and been persecuted. I bet souls were saved for eternity. Amen

 

Now to conclude inn-essence this message was entitled in-corruptible seed. Christ never caved in to the whims of this world and to the devil. He is the incorruptible unblemished risen and glorified lamb of God. When you study scripture it is so profoundly true that the disciples and the apostles at times were scared profoundly. Could you imagine in their time what they were experiencing and learning from the son of man. At times the gospel reveals that they were a little bit scared to ask him / Jesus  questions. Why? Although he had a heart of gold and he demonstrated such by showing the love of God and teaching what awaits those who love God and he was also a man of authority and seriousness. We seen it in the way he dealt with Judas Iscariot. We seen it when he told the lady the crumbs from the table were for the children and not for the dogs. Matthew 15:27 We seen it how he dealt with the Pharisees. i:e The leaven of the Pharisees. We seen it in his teachings when the boat was sinking and they lost faith. What a great example of faith.

 

We know or should I say farmers know that if you plant a seed of crops eventually a harvest will come about.  But how could you plant an incorruptible seed that leads to eternal life or that will be in a way associated with treasures in heaven. Why do I say this? Didn't Jesus say that something has to die for there to be life. John 12:24  John 3:16 Didn't he say you have to die to self each day. Didn't he say that you are not worthy of him if you're not willing to pick up your cross daily. Sure we can bring in other things that the Apostle Paul taught but that is not the point. How can a seed become incorruptible without Christ. Salvation belongs to the Lord. Psalm 3:8

“If peace, remember the incorruptible seed of the word of God which says in Romans 5:1,“that being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” “The incorruptible seed has no choice but to produce for you and me once it is planted. Nothing on earth can stop it from producing.” 5.17.18

 

 

"By the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever." So yes God says to be a doer of the Word. Many Christians do it and then undo it. In modern day terminology we can liking it to zipping &  unzipping. God's word is so true John 10:10 There is another word. It is the incorruptible seed which is the word of God. He is the logos. The first and the last. The Alpha and the Omega. A true king and every knee will bow one day. Preach the word. 

The first use of the name Satin is found in 1 Chronicles 21:1 

Satan literally means “adversary” in Hebrew.

Satan is the father of lies. John 8:44

Satan was once perfect. He was created perfect. Iniquity was found in him.

  Ezekiel 28:14

 

¹⁴ Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

¹⁵ Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

I wanted to know what others thought about Satan. John Piper has some interesting viewpoints. There are mysteries. We have the first murder in the Bible. Cain and Abel. We have Eve being tempted by Lucifer. In essence we have the first sin. Satan was a liar and a murderer from the very beginning. Isn’t that interesting.

“So you may ask yourselves why did Satan tempt Eve to sin. Where did the first sin come from? We’re not talking about Adam but Satin.. Truthfully it’s a mystery and we don’t really know. Satan opposes God. The Bible opens with the presence of unexplained evil.” (John Piper)

Our faith must be “rooted” in the biblical Lord Jesus Christ. We must lean on God’s understanding. 01/22/2021 1:44 am

Footnotes: One day true Christians will put on the incorruptible body and become just like Jesus. Although the Christian or disciple is never above their master but they become just like him.
