It is not me as a Christian believer in messiah/Christ that divides but the word of God. It instructs me as a believer in the biblical Jewish lord Jesus Christ on how to worship, pray and to contend for the faith. As a believer in the biblical Jewish Messiah I do that. He is the truth, the way and the life. He is RISEN! Amen
In Exodus 20:3-5 it is written to have no other Gods before the real God of the bible/Israel, make no graven images nor serve them or bow down to them and that God judges iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generations of those whom hate him. It is written God does not change today, tomorrow and forever.
Now then it is written in Deuteronomy 4:2 kjv "2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you." We are not under law but at the same time are we to transgress the commandments of God and keep pagan holidays?. There are some biblical Churches whom do such and some whom don't/never do. The small remnant never does/did. As well there are members of the body of Christ whom are separate and don't do such. I am told the early Christians would not recognize the Christianity of today. I've heard one pasture saying in a service they are trying to associate "You" to his followers/sheep/Church attendees with belial/paganism and such. No! Nothing to do with that. What is being stated is what the bible says/implies. Now I know John 3:16 and Christ is able to forgive. They will say everything has been nailed to the cross and now we are under a new covenant to justify keeping some pagan traditions that have seeped into biblical Christianity. I say/know its sin and wrong. There is one article out of many on paganism in Christianity HERE You know the lord Jesus Christ said "13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye." Just as written in collossians 2:8 "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." Is he the lord Jesus Christ not the King and the head of the body? Is he okay with sin? I don't think so. Does it matter what God thinks? I think so. I do like some preachers regardless but I am not in favor of keeping pagan holidays.
And again as written in Luke 9:62 (KJV) "62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God." 2 Corinthians 6:15-17 kjv makes it crystal clear. The word of God goes forward.
