The hypocritical dilemma in biblical Christianity

The hypocritical dilemma in biblical Christianity.

What is a Biblical saint?

"A saint is a holy person. ... In Christianity, the word "saint" refers to any person who is "in Christ", and in whom Christ dwells, whether in Heaven or in earth."

I've read a lot about Christians and about atheists, even people that say they were once saved and went back into the world. Back into not believing in the Lord Jesus Christ. I seen some testimonies.  Of course I am making reference to biblical Christianity being the written word of the Living God. There is a dilemma in biblical Christianity. It may be based on how to properly divide the written word of God.

There are differences among different groups of professing Christians from different groups of denominations in Biblical Christianity.

For instance we have Protestants, we have Methodist, and we have Baptist denominations. Then we have more or less independent bible-believing Christians. Some of them might not even belong to any denomination and they consider themselves non denominational. However,  there are disputes over interpretation of scripture. There are other disputes as well although I wanted to talk about a person/Christian whom has come to the Lord and been saved and/or even born again. There is a dilemma. There are disputes over the Trinity doctrine (The Bible calls it the Godhead ) or even over the day of worship, or even salvation, or prosperity (word of faith) preaching but I wanted to talk about the profound dilemma that does exist.

First off what does dilemma mean?

"di·lem·m - A situation in which a difficult choice has to be made between two or more alternatives, especially equally undesirable ones."

Some grave concerns are the prosperity word of faith gospel movement or the  hypocritical viewpoints on being born again or being a true Christian and calling one A saint. Hence force: The old man has passed away. All things are made new again. To be born again is a true process. It is not the work of man / being a true Christian believer alone but the work of the Holy Ghost.

I'm going to try to explain this so you can understand. I will say the Pharisees were accused of being hypocrites but there are Christian hypocrites that are almost as bad as the Pharisees.  You could go too far one way or too far another way.

It is written you can only serve one master and to-befriend the world will make you Gods enemy. True.. James 4.4

Many are hypocrites.

Say somebody comes to Christ and they become a true Bible believing Christian that is wonderful. Some Christians know the day they were saved. They remember that. Some are baptized in what is called believers baptism. That is a very special day.

Now some for people it could have been a street preacher or even a preacher from some denomination whom brought them to Christ. Sometimes it could have been something they've read or seen even by reading the word of God that brought them to Christ that convicted their hearts to give their lives to Christ.

So it's understood such people believe Christ is whom he said he was. They come to understand that Christ paid the price in full for the sins of the world. They come to know the biblical Lord Jesus Christ who was given the name Emanuel meaning "God is with us".

Now they are off to live the Christian life and study the Bible. As for myself I have a different story. I am a believer. When I first embarked on the journey to what is referred to as born again I was told "You" will go many places and you will hear many things. Many conflicting things. In fact the preacher prayed over me. It was an evangelical outlet/Church. I read the Bible and became very interested in biblical truth.

The Christian Believer... as they come to believe...

So you were explained why you need salvation and how Christ paid for all our sins being past, present and future. Your heart was convicted and eventually you came to understand/know the Bible is true. Now you have a fascination being an increased interest in reading and learning the word of God. Referred to as the Holy Scriptures.  Even in prayer. As time goes on you understand more and more. Some people are given the gift of teaching and others gifts such of wisdom. Some have both. Some have other gifts.

So whenever the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ was preached to you and you were told/explained about hell and about sin leading to spiritual death and perhaps to physical death you were convicted and realized the way is indeed narrow just as Jesus said it is. Now you have started your Christian journey in the walk with the Lord. Over time you learn of all the inconsistencies or all those things that differ in teaching/preaching and in understanding the gospel. You might try different denominations but generally consistent with Biblical Christianity. You might become friends with other Christians. And in time you might even learn "Apologetics of the Bible". You might take Bible classes. You will hear people arguing about scripture. It's one thing to know and understand scripture yet another thing to live it and be a doer of the word of God. If you are keen or should I say bright you will come to know the vast differences between Christianity in the first and second century as opposed to the 20th century. You will realize a lot of things are deception and that paganism was introduced and amalgamated "even" into biblical Christianity over time. Some forms of it. You will realize that people take scripture out of context. Not everything and in time you might come to understand things you would not otherwise have understood.

Continuing in discrepancies as I will try to explain.

Your a sinner on the way to hell. You get saved. You might not even be baptized. In essence God now knows you. You become what is known as born again Christian. Now "You" are a new creation in Christ. You're told all things are made new. You realize basically that it is true. You start to see things in a different light as many things are refreshed. You are told you must worship. But you have questions as time goes on. By now you understand/learned that you are saved by grace through faith and not by works that any man can boast. Some people now refer to you as a Saint. In fact it is true that change has happened especially if it's not a false conversion. This change will be evident to some and perhaps not totally to others. But you will have a desire and a boldness that just comes out when you see somebody lost in the world and you realize they need salvation.

Continuing in discrepancies..

As you learn about righteousness and what God says concerning righteousness you realize that you have to seek the righteousness of Christ. You must seek the kingdom of God.  You realize now when people swear and take God's name in vain it bothers you. Now you see what Christ saw and you start to realize the things he knew about the wicked world and its rebellion against God. You realize that spiritual wickedness is evil and everywhere. Over time you understand James 4.4 and why you cannot befriend the world without becoming Gods enemy.

You see other professing born again Christians adding & subtracting from scripture. The Bible warns about doing so. You realize some things were meant spiritually and some things were meant literally. Some people mix them up. But there is a natural process and a basic process to being a true Christian.

Some Christians have trouble with sexual desires and even drugs. Some with video games. You may notice some still will be swearing and they say that there is no condemnation under Christ. You will learn about the Pharisees and how they were hypocrites and then you'll see Christians and how they are hypocrites. And they will quote scripture to back up their viewpoint. You will learn there are false converts or people that really don't care. Even if they are seen as Saint material and say that they actually are or profess that they are born again some will make excuses. They may actually be born again. They may be apprentices. They will profess they are not under law. Yes its impossible to keep the law.  Their basic excuse or hinger-binder will be they seek Christs righteousness. You see they realize they’re not under the law. And some of them although they show one thing in public they haven’t let go of some very wicked things. You understand but you notice the hypocritical dilemma. You see Jesus said there’s not even one good according to God’s righteousness or his standards. This is why the Bible says you have to seek the righteousness of Christ. You may notice that there are some senior pastors that are profoundly educated in biblical Christianity. It’s impressive.

Didn't Christ give us a bunch of parables. The Bible has 66 books. It is filled with examples of teachings concerning correction and doctrine in doing the will of God let alone putting his word into action. It seems redundant that man could learn to fly an airplane or even drive an automobile but can't put simple things that are to do with righteousness, good Godly manners or simple decency into everyday action. There is profoundly a double standard. Even in the book of Matthew when Jesus says he will tell many he didn't know them as they are workers of iniquity. That means lawless. These people cast out demons in his name yet he does not know them. Either it's possible to lose your salvation even if one is saved or lawlessness despite being saved is a serious matter to God. Or do/did these people serve another Jesus. Jesus said few be there that find the narrow way in their lifetime. "FEW". The remnant of God as it is written keeps the commandments of God. We can be thankful for John 3:16 but there is something that just don't seem to make sense or is it that modern day Christianity had drastically changed the way the very early Christian communities lived or understood some principles of Christianity. In fact I watched a video once where they said that the Christians in the first or second century would not recognize the Christianity of today.

I heard some preacher recently preach only the Holy ghost can live the Christian life. I agree on principle but greater is he that is within the Christian believers. Perhaps not as Jesus did it perfectly but they can live it well regardless. Maybe not 100% but people can learn how to.

No one is perfect and shall we assume?

You'd have to be blind and death to ignore that there is not present a dilemma in biblical Christianity. The contradiction and the hypocritical denial is present as so many carve out their own brand of Christianity. Taylor made to suit their own taste.

So what should we do ? Didn't Jesus say occupy until I come? Well-to-do anything might be introducing works. After all everything was nailed to the cross wasn't it? (Being sarcastic !) You know what was nailed to the cross the sin debt. The debt was paid in full. What you can do is pray and tell the Lord you want to go forth with the word of God. You can study scripture together with other Christians. You can worship with other Christians. Isn't it written iron sharpens iron? Stay the course. Paul said he finished the good fight. Are you a warrior for Christ? We have a high priest and his name is the lord Jesus Christ. Preach amongst wolves if that is your calling. Tell others about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Exercise faith daily. Forgive others. And try to learn from your trials and tribulations. Give thanks in good times and in bad times. Give glory to the Lord. Serve the Lord and only the Lord. The relationship is between the believer and the Lord. Remember that.

Foot notes to ponder:

Work out your salvation with fear and trembling - Philippians 2:12

He who endures till the end will be saved Matthew 24:13

Shall no flesh be justified in his sight by the deeds of the law

Romans 3:20, KJV:

Hebrews 10:29 - “Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy

Shall Grace abound - God forbid - Romans 6

I never knew you - Matthew 7:21-23 : perhaps some did not have the indwelling of the Holy Ghost  and of course they were relying on their own good works and used his powerful name to cast of demons. They had many wonder works yet he does not know them and yet they are lawless. They may even serve another Jesus.

You also got a watch out about blasphemy of the Holy Ghost.
