We must deny ourselves

Luke 9:23 King James Version (KJV)
23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

We must seek to follow the messiah being the Christ whom denied himself and did his fathers will and not his own. Many do their own and it is very easy to get carried away. Christ said he did not come to condemn the world but to save it. He also said because he came man is without excuse. I know he was referring to the Jewish religious leaders but that goes for men/woman who would like to follow him. It really goes for everyone. God chose Israel as the nation he made the covenant with. Yeshua (Jesus Christ) was a Jewish man whom gave up his life for the sins of the world willingly and he kept the Sabbath and the law of the prophets. You know Christ fasted for some 40 days and nights as he was determined not to follow the worldly ways. Its not easy for us to deny ourselves unless we walk with God/Christ. So a great explanation below I came across.

"9:18-27 It is an unspeakable comfort that our Lord Jesus is God's Anointed; this signifies that he was both appointed to be the Messiah, and qualified for it. Jesus discourses concerning his own sufferings and death. And so far must his disciples be from thinking how to prevent his sufferings, that they must prepare for their own. We often meet with crosses in the way of duty; and though we must not pull them upon our own heads, yet, when they are laid for us, we must take them up, and carry them after Christ. It is well or ill with us, according as it is well or ill with our souls. The body cannot be happy, if the soul be miserable in the other world; but the soul may be happy, though the body is greatly afflicted and oppressed in this world. We must never be ashamed of Christ and his gospel."

Let me tell you God said him you shall serve and no other. See, men do things to be seen of men. God highly esteems a contrite spirit/person whom does not do this. He said your least must be first and people just don’t get it. Christ demonstrated the matter by washing the feet of the Apostles. They had dirty feet as many have a dirty mouth and dirt stained hearts.  A little leaven leavens the whole load. We have a human way of doing things that God says in his word is highly as-teemed among-st men but it is deplorable to God. It is an abomination to God those things that men highly as-teem. It may be a way that appeals to us but not to the eternal mind of God.

People find pleasure in entertainment in a evil world after a long day at work or school. In a way I cannot blame them but Christ was rejected and well  acquainted with sorrow.  He understood mans rejection of God and he proved it when he cleared out the money changers from the temple. The point is Gods house shall be called a house of prayer and not a den of robbers. That was the point he was driving home. God seeks those who will worship him in spirit and truth.  Is our worship in vain? You cannot serve two masters. There is a way that appears right unto men/woman but in the end it is the way of death. Stop sinning. Sinners are of their father the devil. Get saved and walk in the light.
