The Cost of Discipleship

The cost of discipleship is indeed GREAT. In this light let it be remembered what God did with Sodom and Gomorrah as he rained down fire and brimstone. Today we have similar sins all over the world and people are proud of such sin and abominations. They march and call it PRIDE. What they are protesting is that they stand for their sins against God with PRIDE. God is all knowing, and he sees the perpetual sin of homosexuality and lesbianism all over the world. We are living in the generation of adultery and idolatry. We are living in the evil day when grace is about to expire as sin magnifies through the roof as it is so doing. Beware Gods judgments are true. In this light I reference Luke 9:62 "No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God".

…61 Still another said, “I will follow You, Lord; but first let me bid farewell to my family.” 62 Then Jesus declared, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and then looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.” When you serve God there is no looking back if he propelled you forward. God KNOWS who the wicked and liars really are. 

God HATES Luke warm preaching.

¹¹ As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly. 

"The dog is a loathsome emblem of those sinners who return to their vices, 2 Pe 2:22. 12. We see many a one who has some little sense, but is proud of it." 

"He that sins in jest, must repent in earnest, or his sin will be his ruin." Sin leads to death and judgment. God is not mocked.  If the blind lead the blind they both will fall into a ditch. God see's all. There are men/woman who don't understand God. They think he does not exist. He searches the hearts and minds of people. He knows their every thought. 

Without getting into a huge debate let’s say there are people that think they are spiritual or in-tune with God but are lacking because their consciences are seared. Satin is a master deceiver and many people are his victims. Many people have been beguiled by the devil and his devices as Eve was. You cannot serve two masters as you only FOOL yourselves. You cannot follow the world and God. It is impossible but countless people have convinced themselves God is completely understanding with this. God expects all our attention if we are to serve him in heart and he tells us there is a cost for discipleship to pay. He warns us of the price to pay. Prosperity preaching is an example of an abomination within itself. Someone said it is feeling good without really being good. Then there are those that preach you don’t have to do a bunch of stuff to be saved. This is not only about being saved but about the words of the lord Jesus Christ and his instructions and warnings. When you tell God you will follow him tomorrow or after tomorrow if you have tasted God's grace and his extended hand then you do not look back. God does not accept this service. Of course, there will be those who want to set you back. In your spirit you must strive to go forward. You are not alone as God said he is always with you. 

Jesus and Nicodemus

…4 “How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked. “Can he enter his mother’s womb a second time to be born?” 5 Jesus answered,, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of the Spirit."

You claim to serve Christ being Yeshua the Jewish messiah than you don't look back. Christ said in this life you will have troubles but be of good cheer as I have overcome the world. He said if the world hates you know it hated me first.  The world is far from good but it's deeds are evil and its master is Satin/Darkness. He is the God of this world and many serve him. Not only are people falling away from God in these end times/days but so are preachers as many have turned back/away to Luke warm or prosperity preaching.

2 Peter 2:22  (KJV) 22 "But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire." 

The bible tells us to work out our salvation with FEAR and TREMBLING. God does not take it lightly. You want to be seen whiter than snow to God then you must be born again by the spirit and God. God expects nothing short of this. There is a profound reason many are called, and few are chosen. God needs labors in the field. He needs disciples and people that will do his work without looking back. Sin will cost you your soul and looking back will cost you and others as well. Love is what Christ did on the cross. His peace is not the peace of the world, but it is a blessing. Beware of them that come preaching a gospel that no Angel in heaven ever preached. Beware of them that speak well of you and are ravaging wolves.
