The cost of temptation

John 10:10  (KJV) 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Is what we call sin just a measure of our offences and a superficial word that we use to measure our short commings,
our self-centeredness, our competition, our hatred and violence, our anguish,  our envy, our jealousy, our egos, our arrogance, our lashing out of disobedience against humanity by human standards, understanding & reasoning. The word "sin" is real. So how can we define sin?

The definition of Sin: Sin is an immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law.  To "commit" ; "sin" brings shame to human beings. It makes people naked to God. It brings separation between human sinners and God.

Synonyms:    "commit a sin, offend against God, commit an offense, transgress, do wrong, commit a crime, break the law, misbehave, go astray, stray from the straight and narrow, go wrong, fall from grace; archaictrespass "I sinned and brought down shame on us"

Now we talk about Pride. Satin once guarded the throne of God. He was a Cherubim Angel that was perfect in splendor and beauty. The gospel tells us pride was found in him and he started to marvel over his own created self. He became arrogant and prideful and wanted to replace God, then he eventually beguiled Eve. Sin entered the world by one man and men perceived darkness. They rejected the true light.
Now we need to define pride: "Pride is an inwardly directed emotion that carries two antithetical meanings. With a negative connotation pride refers to a foolishly and irrationally corrupt sense of one's personal value, status or accomplishments, used synonymously with hubris. In Judaism, pride is called the root of all evil." Wikipedia"

When we think of an apple and we think of a seed that seed holds information to copy or reproduce another of it's same kind of fruit. Same be other fruits. A whole tree can come forth from an apple seed. We can think about good apples and spoiled ones that are rotten apples. Eve sinned by fornication and had twins. One was good and the other bad. They were Cain and Able. The seed of Satin was transferred to Eve as she was tempted to sin and she followed through. Satin was found to be prideful, arrogant as much as to even temp the son of the living God. In as-sense God himself. No wonder Angels believed him and followed him. He was so cunning and a master at doing so. Look at the abortion rate worldwide! You see the devil in humans. They are very sinful and think those things that bring death are life. Abortions, murder, hatred, competition, self Will, Egos, Alcoholics, vile language, drugs, etc. Do they really obey God or Satin? The deception in human thinking there is no God and no judgment is foolishness according to scripture. There is!! The fool has said in his heart there is no God. When one truly understands the cost of temptation that gives birth to sin which is death (Hell) & Spiritual Death than they may understand the cost that Christ paid because  pride and a disregard for God's divine law are a cancer that destroys the soul of men. To sin and disobeying God brings forth death. We are told "I put life and death before you, chose life". Your children, your offspring, perhaps your own soul is at stake according to the gospel and the doctrine of Christ's father being his word/the gospel. The cost of temptation can be/IS a price you can not afford to pay. Jesus Christ paid the debt, on the cross/tree by giving his own very life as a ransom for many. He destroyed the works of the devil.   It is said by one man sin entered the world. Jesus Christ said by looking at a person you can commit sin in your heart with that person. The lust of the eyes and pride of life is spiritually dangerous.  The lesson must be learned and a man/woman must be born again by the spirit of God to enter heaven. Get saved and chose life.

In Genesis 3:15 it foretells that Satan's head will be bruised. What does all this mean? Some-one gets bruised. It prophetically refers to both Jesus Christ and Satan It is said to be scriptures first Messianic prophecy in Genesis 3.15.

In Genesis 3.15 it is written "And I will put enmity
(hostility, hatred) between thee and the woman, and between thy seed (Satan's spiritual offspring) and her seed; (her offspring); it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

Remember Eve has two children in her womb. The fruit of the womb. One became  a murder and the other not.  Sin was transferred to her off spring. Sin that tastes good by the lust of the eyes can come back to bite you like a snake. Sin leads to death just as Christ told us and warned us. There was hostility between the brothers. There was anguish and Satin managed to effect her offspring.

I found this elsewhere an quote it here.

"We now come to the meaning of Satan's bruise he brings to "her Seed" in Genesis 3:15. He is prophesied to bruise Jesus' heel, meaning the greatest penalty he would inflict on God's son would only be a temporary "wound" that would be healed. Satan the devil would be allowed to tempt the Lord to sin and to arrange his physical death but nothing more. God heals the bruise he causes by resurrecting his Son from the dead."
"Christ, on the other hand, was foretold to bruise (mortally wound or crush) Satan's head. He has completed the first milestone in this goal by destroying the works of the devil through his life and death (1 John 3:8, Hebrews 2:14, Revelation 20:10)." http://www.biblestudy.org/question/who-will-bruise-the-head-of-satan-the-devil.html
"There is a struggle between good and evil.  Christ won and will return to
forcibly free humans from the kingdom of evil." It is said he will rule with a rode of iron.

Here is a great explanation of this in Mathew Henry's Commentary. HERE

Have you ever heard that old saying "You reap what you sow". When the seed you sow is sin tars get embedded in the seed of the womb. You can influence someone to sin. Sin spreads like a cancer. Bad apples cannot become good apples unless repentant and there is a turning from sin. Sin brings forth death and by one man sin/death entered the world. The price that had to be paid was incredibly high. Christ humbled himself to the cross and to his preaching ministry/mission. Christ was commissioned to come to earth and die on the cross/tree even before the foundations of the world were laid. He became a sin offering as the lamb that takes away the sins of the world. By his stripes we are healed. Matter of fact God said "Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding." Where you there when he laid the foundations of the world?  Did you give God counsel? No

What Christ did by controlling the weather is reveal God controls not only the weather but the universe and WHERE the soul goes. Not man. Man's life is like/but a vapour here today and gone tomorrow. Through  prophecy God foretold the beginning from the end. The earth is his foot stool. He knows OUR hearts.

"As the Seed of the woman was literally God reproducing Himself in human flesh, so the seed of the serpent is the literal way that Satan found he was able to open the door to himself into the human race."

The cost of temptation can bring forth a life of suffering and a lack of God's blessings. It can severe the relationship between you and your only father in heaven.  Of course I can reference lots of biblical passages but that is offered in the links provided.

"The enmity that leads to the "bruising" of Genesis 3 is easy to understand. God's way of life is based on selfless love and the greatest relationship possible among all. Lucifer's way, however, is founded entirely on self-centeredness, competition, hatred and violence. The inevitable and continuing clash between Satan's way and God's comes to a head with each party being "bruised" by the other."http://www.biblestudy.org/question/who-will-bruise-the-head-of-satan-the-devil.html

I came to think and ponder upon "The Cost Of Temptation" shortly after watching a video whereby celebrities have been said to have sold their souls to the devil. You have to be careful for what you wish for in life. To deny the power thereof is not only blindness and neglect but disregard for the teachings of Christ and God's divine laws. What he said is real and truth. When we are blinded spiritually and are self seeking in our own created beings with pride we can so easily be led astray. We are warned in scripture.  Hell enlarges it's self as it is said/written.

Warnings against False Teachers

1 "Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, 2 influenced by the hypocrisy of liars, whose consciences are seared with a hot iron."
Why did I quote this passage above? Because that is what happens when a person follows the world and all it's deceit. The gospel tells us there is a way that seems right unto a man but in the end it's the way of death. The devil has beguiled the earth as it is written it is deceived.  Celebrities sell out their souls for fame and in turn their influence can be devastating to many of their followers that may lose their soul as they follow the world and the image of these famous celebrities. I read about the ones that seek mediums and those things the bible tells us is an abomination. I read about those who turn to demonic endeavours whose consciences are seared with a hot iron. God is not a monster in creating hell. People are very wicked and disobey his divine laws. The cost of temptation is your very soul. Beware that old serpent the devil seeks them he can devour. Seek God's Kingdom.

Satin is a master deceiver.
In my pondering this I came upon a video recently by Charles Lawson entitled Knowledge from Scripture  I recommend. Hell is a place where there is separation from God and the things I once wanted I don't anymore. God and his word showed me these things lead a person away from his Kingdom of heaven and "thrust" them forward towards the Kingdom of Satin. He said chose life. He tells us we are to love him with all our hearts, might and soul. So do it. Be wise as King Sole-man was wise.

P.S. A man that loses his life for my sake shall find it and per-serve it.   Those who try to keep it will lose it. Christ spoke about this. Narrow is the way that leads to life and broad is the way that leads to destruction. Sin begets Death! Death begets Hell! Remember the man that said go tell my seven brothers NOT to come here. God is not a man that he should lie. However the devil is a liar from the beginning. Are you saved?

I touched upon some of these same things talked about in this blog in these audio sermon clips. And the last clips is a reading of Luke 4, where the devil has the gull to temp thy God. He temps Christ to worship him. Christ rebukes the devil and uses the word of God against him. Get Saved ASAP.
