This is a copy of my original blog minus the audio video. But it has the references listed about this issue.
Sinless Perfection - Illusion or truth? Are we born of Adam or of a virgin? Is your doctrine of the original Apostles still (?) were they sinless? where they not without blame and condemnation being in Christ? I stress many people who say they are true believers tend to paint most people with the same brush. I can understand when people add or subtract from scripture. Meaning say for example they add pagan tradition to the gospel and it does say that is worship unto devils and demons. The idea of this blog is to take a look at sinless perfection and a couple of other doctrine's that are shocking to those unaware.
There are born again Christians who say they speak in tongues and have special spiritual gifts. Do they? Perhaps some of them do but they don't all have the same gifts. Clearly some have been given the gift of prophecy and perhaps the gift of laying hands and healing people. We always have prayer available but Christ did warn us not to pray in the streets like the Pharisees did to be seen of men. Go in your room and pray to the father in secrete and he will see and reward you. He knows what you will ask before you ask!
Some other Christians say that if other bible believing Christians tell others this business of we are all sinners it is because we want to justify some sin we cannot get rid of but this is not true in "all" cases. Some of us have stories of how we used to be before we were "saved" and redeemed as we came born again. The gospel assures the christian who is born again the holy spirit will continue the good work done in them that was started. You know Christ did nothing in secrete as he told the Sanhedrin or Pilate. He taught in the court yard of the temple. He commissioned the preaching of the gospel.
Is sinless perfection possible with us in this life? NO! But some may be able to come very close but we sin in our thought's and in ways we may not perceive. Even after being born again. But we can WILL in our spirit to pick up our cross and follow Christ as his sheep. Some say there are Christians that cherry pick which commandments they wish to follow. Some will choose this and leave that. The gospel "clearly" tells us there is one who attempts to change the appointed laws of God and this has happened. The Sabbath is not abolished. Prove it. Not a tittle will in no like way pass away until all be fulfilled. There are those that say we are not under the law. As Christ nailed everything to the cross and therefore a born again christian is free to sin because everything is paid for, and there is no condemnation under Christ. Is this true? NO NO NO. LIE! You died to you old nature/sin. You MUST be born again and be as innocent as a little child. Not a tittle will pass away until all be full-filled. What does picking up your cross mean? POOR YOU! No. You have to come out of the wicked ways that defiles you and stop feeding the flesh. You have to lid the sinning. Many will not find the straight and narrow gate as they loved the world and it's deceptions and wicked ways. Christ knocks but he does not impose himself unless you allow him in. Many goats will be cast away as the tars. Get saved.
There are those that say water baptism "Full immersion" does not save you but it is the baptism of fire from the holy spirit (Christ) that may occur once a person becomes a born again christian. Is this necessary. Yes. A man/woman cannot enter the kingdom of God unless they are born again of water and spirit. They need a new heart given by GOD. The circumcision of the heart. Gods does it. Not YOU!
When reading the bible that has history, the teachings of Christ, parables and instruction regarding spiritual and Godly living, etc : in it we have to remember in some passages people were being addressed that is not us. Other parts pertain to us. The gospel tells us to study God's word and show ourselves approved unto GOD.
Clearly the WILL of GOD is REAL and that gospel means what it says. There are blessings and cur-sing's. There are many who are Luke warm believers that don't really believe the word of GOD and they mock it. They insult it and continue to live a defiled life and reject the gospel weight of biblical truth. The gospel tells us not to feed the flesh and to come out of the wicked and defiled ways of the world. Now when it comes to music such as rap some say it is okay but it is the wicked words that matters. There is truly more to it than that. This may be another discussion later. God is holy and demands proper clean worship. Repetitive ramble is unholy.
There are those believers that risk painting other believers with the same brush and I understand the original or what some call the forgotten Apostle's doctrine. The word became flesh and dwelt among-st us. In the begging was the word and nothing made was made without it. Christ was born of a virgin and died and was raised on the 3rd day. The word is a living word and one must take up the armor of God. True. But they were not perfect. (The Apostles)! They followed Christ. We get back into sinless perfection and modern day gifts such as speaking in tongues. Again clearly some people have some gifts and others don't but they may have special ones that others don't have. Remember Christ said the least must be first!
Some preach "don't Believe Christian Heresy". There are people who say you are saved just by believing in Christ and you don't need to be baptized. The man on the Cross whom Christ said he will be with him in paradise, he would receive the baptism from Christ. The fundamental bible doctrines are never cast away but sinless perfection we are not. We can maybe come close. That does not mean we cannot grow as we do. We should WILL to do it and I am sure there are those that cannot be taken of course such as Job was.
There is a bible doctrine that says "And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works." Yes this was addressing the Church in Thyatira but close study will reveal that improper worship which is an abomination unless repented and changed will result in this plaque by God. Be forewarned.
Below here I have highlighted in blue some verses references from articles and I provide the links below for their references. Clearly sinless perfection is impossible to us and it is doctrinal error and misconception. We are born of Adam and not a virgin.
We will be perfected in the life to come. But that does not mean God does not see us as saints. And again the gospel says there is no condemnation for those under Christ.
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” – 1 John 1:7-9 (emphasis added)
"Early in the epistle John makes it clear that despite their claims Christians do indeed sin. Those that reduce sin to nothingness by claiming perfection ultimately call God a liar. They spit in the face of God and trample upon His Word. Christians must acknowledge sin for what it is and rightly label it so. John provides us with the foundation to do that."
"As human beings we are bound under Adam’s nature in this world. No matter how hard we try not to, we will still sin against God. This holds true for everyone. The apostle Paul rebuked Peter for showing favoritism (Galatians 2:11–13). Late in his ministry, Paul calls himself the chief of sinners (1 Timothy 1:15). Peter, James, John, and Paul all admitted that they were imperfect. How could you or I claim anything different?"
"Therefore, scriptural speaking, the “saints” are the body of Christ, Christians, the church. All Christians are considered saints. All Christians are saints—and at the same time are called to be saints."
I would
think a "personal relationship" is personal per person. God knows
their heart and if they follow him in spirit and truth.
Philippians
1:6 King James Version (KJV)
6 Being
confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will
perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
"To explore that a bit further, the reason the body was irrelevant was due to an erroneous view of perceiving the flesh/body to be intrinsically evil. The reason this was problematic is because it contradicts foundational Christian truths (angels, demons, creation, incarnation etc.) Hence why John repeatedly makes certain confessions (e.g. 1 John 2:22) – these are the type of people Paul would label “accursed” (Galatians 1:6-9) as they preach another gospel. This new theology led to a new morality: one that thought the body – the material – was not the real you, but your spirit – the immaterial and immortal was. As a result, they demonstrated their freedom in doing all sorts of sinful things with their body, but downplayed it in their lives – essentially reducing it to nothingness."
"Therefore, early in the epistle John makes it clear that despite their claims Christians do indeed sin. Those that reduce sin to nothingness by claiming perfection ultimately call God a liar. They spit in the face of God and trample upon His Word. Christians must acknowledge sin for what it is and rightly label it so. John provides us with the foundation to do that."
We are human and not perfect and perhaps some saints have the abilities not to sin as other saints may. Only God can truly know the heart of men. God searches the heart of men. He knew in Noah's day about the constant evil on the heart of men as there is the same thing today.
We don't say we are with sin because there are some we cannot overcome and I have addressed the above and this blog with bible proof and links/references. One day I bet in heaven or the life to come people will find out some they deemed faro-ff were closer than them. Not everyone and we should stay on course with the gospel.
So it MUST BE STRESSED that we Christians/true believers in CHRIST MUST not use this as an excuse to SIN. We MUST follow CHRIST and make "every attempt" to NOT fornicate. We are SO easily propelled to the flesh. How? The lust of the eyes and the pride of life. Be content but NOT prideful.
For more information see the links provided.
Yes we have truly arrived.
Hal covers sin in this report and what the bible has too say about a man/woman being perfect. Not possible for us.
I agree with Hal Lyndsey where he gets into the part
where the bible says we are sinners and not perfect, but I must stress as
Christ said that a man/woman MUST be born again of spirit & Water. One God
gives you a new heart than you will be able to listen to God given that you are
serious about repenting and being born again. There is no fooling the living
GOD.
