He that is for us is not against us

June 21, 2020 9:44 pm

He that is for us is not against us is what the lord Jesus Christ said in the gospel Mark 9:38-41 when it was brought to Christ's attention a man was casting out demons in his name but he did not follow them. Now this is what the lord said as he responded (39) "But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. (40) For he that is not against us is on our part. (41) For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward."

See when the person spoken of here casting out demons in Christs name even though he follows them not he may later realizes for this to work that name must be powerful. It is! There will come a time when he starts to seek Christ probably more and more and becomes their follower. Faith! Especially when things turn upside down on him. Hopefully not but narrow is the way. The love of the lord Jesus Christ is beyond carnal/shallow. Its a kind of love people yearn for yet push away. Even Pontius Pilate knew there was something special about the lord Jesus Christ. The pharisees were  offended/insulted that he has/had what they lacked  and yet he was the son of a carpenter.  They prided themselves on titles "yet" he was a humbled carpenter/messiah and  most people  can lightly speak evil of him.

Bless the lord as he provided grace and he is patient and wants none to perish. The gospel is indeed GOOD news because God has a plan. Yes he does. You know as Christ said to the Disciples/Apostles what is impossible to/with man is not impossible to/for God. He said all things are possible with God. If you notice/realize the vast size of the Universe I bet he can do things that makes that look little next to nothing. Why does/won't he just give us whatever we wants then? SIN! Holiness! Store up treasures for heaven. You can gain the world and lose your souls. The things humans highly esteem are abominations to God.  After all he did say that the way is narrow. He said choose life but people choose death. The Devil is the prince of this world and the world is vastly deceived! The world vastly serves the devil unaware or even aware. Why create it as such then? Because these things exist and they are as such. His WILL WILL BE DONE! There needs to be faith in God's word and in the lord Jesus Christ. People add all sorts of things to the gospel that it warns not to. Yes! God knows people are deceived but there should be understanding. The gospel tells us that people are destroyed because of a lack of knowledge/understanding. A friend of the world can make you God's enemy. James 4.4 Love your neighbor as yourself but don't forget to pick up your cross daily. Don't abuse your neighbor but feeds them, love them and pray for them too. Pray in private often.

Think of Jesus Christ for a moment! The prophet Isaiah wrote about him some 700-780 years before he was born on earth. And he said the government would be upon his shoulder and he would be rejected and grow up as a tender plant and as a root out of a dry ground. Isaiah 53:2 kjv It all happened. He was rejected/even by his very own and a man well acquainted with sorrows yet people looked to him for healing, miracles and guidance. Lots of them were not interested in change/repentance but they wanted the goodies. In his time he came against organized religion of the Sanhedrin syn-agog system. "Perhaps" (See links below)  written or referred to as the Syn-agogue of Satin in scripture. See: Links below (They wanted respect these religious leaders and were troubled with his doctrine). He said they were white washed tombs and to fill up the measure as they are the children of those whom killed the prophets.  And up to that point God was working with his his people in Israel and he knew they would reject his only begotten son. But Gods will has/had to be done and the lord Jesus Christ said thy WILL be done. It was/is being full filled. The father sends us Jesus. That is the biblical Jewish Jesus Christ. That is love beyond measure. In the life to come one may grasp with more clarity/understanding what that really means. God did not only provide his only begotten son but the word of God. He gave us great prophets, great teachers and much more. Look what James says "Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body." No one is perfect and we all stumble. Did God know? Yes!

There are those whom say God did not send us teachers to teach us?!! Really.. So why does Scripture say this Ephesians 4:11-16 King James Version (KJV) "11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:".

In a past study I mentioned how Christians had departed from the system based upon/written in the books of Acts. I think that system is what pleases God as it better administers the word of God for believers. The small remnant I bet has utilized that system.

As I am reminded at times the correct meaning of the word "Church" is "Ecclesia". The Church or assembly is the people, or the congregation. It can be viewed as a governmental assembly as well. "As a whole, Christians have departed from the pattern laid down in the book of Acts." "Did others write about this deviation.. yes... New Testament warnings of deviations from the faith.. "Furthermore, the Bible indicates that toward the end of the first century, many departed from the faith. As Jude wrote:" “Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints."

Still I am reminded of John 3:16 at times. Tend to the flock and give them milk or solid food and spread that word of God's Kingdom come and then the end will come. Do it. Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Glory is his forever. Amen

Can this be the true meaning: See links below: Them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews - Who profess to be Jews, but are really of the synagogue of Satan. See the notes on Revelation 2:9. The meaning is, that, though they were of Jewish extraction, and boasted much of being Jews, yet they were really under the influence of Satan, and their assemblages deserved to be called his "synagogue."

Fiery indignation which shall devour the adversaries

June 18, 2020 8:33 pm 8:44 pm finalized

What is indignation
? Anger or annoyance provoked by what is perceived as unfair treatment. See it's as perceived. Sometimes it could actually be a fact but you must pray that you enter NOT into temptation. Repay not evil for evil as vengeance is his as written.  Don't trample the blood of the lamb/the son of God. Don't insult the spirit of grace. (1)

Punishment for willful sin (KJV)

Hebrews 10:26-31 kjv

"
26 For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. ((28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:)) 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."

There were people under Moses law that died without mercy under Two or three witnesses in the old testament of course. If you are saved and you are born again then shall grace abound without ceasing? As the Apostle Paul said "God forbid". If it does happen confess your sins right away as the Lord he is faithful and will forgive you. You got to remember to renew your mind. Romans 12:2 KJV Pray and think of things that are of God and not things that are of the world.

Now particularly 28. this passage is what I'm interested in. Scripture mentions that we could boast in our weakness
2 Cor 12:9 and there is also  a reference to Grace and not making it a license to sin. Shall grace abound as it is written. You know in the sermon on the Mount the Lord Jesus Christ said be holy as your father is Holy. The word of God also tells us there is not one who has  knowledge or really seeks after him. Christ said only the father is good. Our good or even our good intentions maybe a glimmer of hope but it is not justification for true holiness. Perhaps it will not be this way in the life to come. Being born again is said to be saint material but I reject pride period. We have to seek his righteousness. He is the master. He is the teacher. Another more harsher definition of Fiery indignation is perhaps vicious unholy willful undignified anger which is sinful. For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins. Remember the Lord Jesus Christ said to pray that you fall not into temptation. Matthew 26.41

Now I think it wise to have a look at Hebrews 6:6 which is pretty important and directly related called
A call to maturity

Hebrews 6:6 "and then have fallen away to be restored again to repentance, because they themselves are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting Him to open shame."…

"5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age.. 6 and then have fallen away.. to be restored again to repentance, because they themselves are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting Him to open shame. 7 For land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is tended receives the blessing of God.…"

Now look, read, Study  Romans 2:9 1-31 which is entitled
No one is righteous

Hebrews 10:29 "How much more severely do fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. you think one deserves to be punished who has trampled on the Son of God, profaned the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and insulted the Spirit of grace?" You can abuse grace. Remember that if you are truly born again. Remember what the lord said that in the day of judgment many will tell him they cast out demons and did many wonderful works in his name and he will proclaim/profess unto them he never knew them and to get away from him. Well! they were not unbelievers! Were they biblical Christians or even believers in another Jesus and another gospel? Their works counted for little/not for much! Why! They disobeyed the lord. They were workers of iniquity.... lawless, perhaps Christians whom are/were pharisees and trampled/profaned the blood of the covenant. Backsliders! Evil doers whom WILLFULLY do as they please! Just the parables alone tells us how one is to be under the lord.  Repent or perish or you will all likewise perish. Luke 13.3
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." Just as written in Matthew 23:15 kjv "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves

What is a proselyte? : A person who has converted from one opinion, religion, or party to another. God highly esteems a contrite person.

As written in Proverbs 9:10 KJV

Be at peace among yourselves

June 16, 2020  5:44 pm / 9:44 pm

Entitled... . Be at peace among yourselves

The second Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Thessalonians.

Direct References

These are instructions from Paul the Apostle on how the Thessalonians were to "conduct themselves." There were members that were disorderly among them. Some people in biblical Christianity might use this as a means that people should follow their way of biblical organized Christianity. That means Sunday worship instead of Saturday worship but this is not what this is talking about. There are members in Churches today that have problems with disorderly conduct. There are people in Churches today that have problems with sexual fornication's, idolatry & even the prosperity gospel. There are people that come drunk or high or live not according to the gospel which is to live at peace with people especially those whom believe in your particular denominations. To abstain from the pollution of the world. And Worship God hopefully in spirit & truth and love/forgive others. What I find is some of the same cult minded fishing is what some people use as sort of bate-tactic which is unfounded and basically wrong/flawed.  The man on the cross being a thief was granted eternal life by Christ himself. He was not asked  which day he worships or where he attended nor which forms of biblical Christianity he believe in if any!. It's a personal relationship. You got to remember this was a long long time ago with these Thessalonians. The gospel tells us there are many parts of the body and one part can't tell the other part they are not needed. 1 Corinthians 12:12-27

Now there are Bible scholars even true believers that are not members of any organized biblical Christianity but they are true believers and probably even saved. As one scholar once said many of the prophets and people written about in the gospel were not members of organized religion at all. See when it's talking about the traditions which is really that they weren't walking according to the instructions of the Apostle. His instructions were to be at peace with others and not disorderly. Not to be idle. This has nothing to do with following the traditions of men nor keeping pagan traditions. Not that I am implying to do so. But there are those in organized biblical Christianity that will make it as Paul is talking about  portraying this as what it's saying for believers whom are Christians today. That is a far cry from the truth.

"As a whole, Christians have departed from the pattern laid down in the book of Acts." Did others write about this deviation. yes... New Testament warnings of deviations from the faith. "Furthermore, the Bible indicates that toward the end of the first century, many departed from the faith. As Jude wrote: “Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints." See HERE God is not the author of confusion as written. 8:55 am June 18, 2020

What is an Ordinance? A piece of legislation enacted by a municipal authority. An authoritative order; a decree. What was against us? The Law. The ten commandments convicted us of our sin. Our sins lead to death. There is life in Christ because he is the flawless unblemished lamb that takes away the sins of the world. Our debt has been paid. This was nailed to the cross. However this does not mean for born again believers/Christians they are now free to conveniently break Gods laws and follow the traditions of men. They may and it will be much more harsh for teachers on the day of Judgment. There are preachers whom do not keep the traditions of men.

The second Epistle of Paul the Apostle the headings are as such:
1.) Patience and faith in persecutions
2.) The mystery of iniquity
3.) The Lord is faithful and B: Peace by all means
And here it is below.

2 Thessalonians 3:16-18 King James Version
"16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. 17 The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write. 18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all." Amen.

Now in The second Epistle to the Thessalonians again as I mentioned earlier that there were people in this Church gathering that were walking disorderly. They were Idol. Not doing anything. Someone not working for the cause of the gospel/Christ. It's interesting to note in 2 Thessalonians 5 it is written : "Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer.". The Thessalonians like others we're being persecuted for their beliefs in the Lord.

Now I am looking at 2 Thessalonians 2 which is entitled "It's a mystery of iniquity." We know that iniquity means lawlessness or carelessness. "Now we beseech you brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and by our gathering together on to him." I just wanted you to know that they're gathered in worship and dedication. Many biblical Christians could be gathered in worship in different denominations with different teachings as they truly are. They are told not to be troubled or shaken in mind neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as the day of Christ is at hand. Not by the letter from us. Sometimes Paul and his Council might send them a letter addressing concerns in their church. He is saying let nothing trouble you. Now they are told to let no man trouble them because there will be a falling away before the man of perdition is revealed. A falling away from what? From belief and from following the gospel. Maybe a different religion. They are sort of being told about the Antichrist who exalts himself above God. This is what it's getting at. Because in Thessalonians 2.4 it is written.."Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped so that he asked God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Are there people on Earth right now that do such a thing or have said such a thing?  Of course. I've heard that in others teachings beforehand. Its quite obvious.

Paul is saying when he was with them that he told them of such things. How could Paul have known such a thing? The Holy Spirit. Paul did not get his revelation from Men. He got it from Jesus Christ. Galatians 1:12  Christ told the Apostles/Disciples things that were profound as well.

The mystery of iniquity

Now when we go down 2 Thessalonians (2, 8 & 9) it is telling us of such a condition. What is the mystery of iniquity? The man of sin. The lawless man who exalts himself to the place of God. It tells us there in due time that "he" will be taken out of the way. It also tells us in Thessalonians 2:2.8 that the Lord will consume him with his mouth when he comes. Actually with the spirit of his mouth and he shall be destroyed with the brightness of his coming. It tells us that such a man comes with the work of Satan. He sits in a temple showing himself to be God". And he does this with all power and signs & lying wonders. It tells us  such is done with deceitfulness and unrighteousness in them that perish because they received not the love of the truth that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion that they should believe a lie. That they might all be damned who believed not the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. You see whoever follows such a man being a person who exalts himself to the place of God and he's worshiped as such... those people are lost and they're not saved. They might all be damned according to the gospel. Harsh words. Warning from God.

Now in 2 Thessalonians 2:13 it is entitled: Called to the obtaining of Christ Glory.

And as it is written... "But we are bound always to give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to Salvation through sanctification of the spirit and belief of the truth. Some people might say this is Calvinism. That they were chosen from the beginning to be saved. What did they believe? What truth did they believe? The gospel today is the 66 books of the King James Bible. In their day they had the old testament but Paul is the New Testament Apostle. "Whereon they were called by God for salvation to the gospel and to obtaining of the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ." They are instructed, "Therefore brethren, stand fast, and hold to that traditions which you have been taught, whether by word or our epistle." What were the traditions? Was it Sunday worship? Did they keep pagan holidays? They were taught about the Lord Jesus Christ and the gospel. That being the Jewish biblical Jesus Christ. Remember Paul was a Jew and he was once a Pharisee. They were taught most likely to abstain from perhaps eating certain foods sacrificed to idols that perhaps defiled them or "not" being at peace among themselves with other members. They were taught to obey the gospel in righteousness. They were taught to obey what is written in the gospel? To hold fast to the truth that Christ is real, risen and the lord being the lamb that takes away the sins of the world. Lots is in the gospel. Just the parables of the lord Jesus Christ alone explain how one is to act accordingly when a person/Christian follow the lord Jesus Christ.

These Thessalonians have been loved by the father as the Apostle Paul says and they have been given everlasting consolation and Good Hope through Grace. That word Grace is a word that requires study as people do abuse it. There is a difference in somebody who abuses grace and is lost or somebody who is a born again Christian believer. Then he/Paul goes on to say..."The lord comfort your hearts and will establish you in every good word and work". They are told Paul & his ministry team have confidence in the Thessalonians that they will do the things they are commanded.

Now looking at 2 Thessalonians 3.

They're told finally to pray for us/all believers that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you/them. They want to be delivered from wicked and unreasonable men for all men have not faith as it is written. (They have been persecuted.) The Lord is faithful who shall establish you/being them and keep you/them from evil. Again remember these Thessalonians were being persecuted as others were in that time period. The Lord directs their hearts onto the love of God. Remember. Christ once said pray that ye enter not into temptation. They could be tempted to do evil to those whom do evil to them. That's not love as you can't repay evil with evil. They have to be steadfast and remain loyal to the cause of Christ. After all he loved us before we loved him as it is written. 1 John 4:19 Now they are told or commanded in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to withdraw themselves as I've spoken about this before earlier in this blog from men who "walk disorderly". Men that fall into temptation and perhaps some of these men could be believers. Perhaps people that pay people back evil for evil especially among them selves. Disorderly people committing acts of violence or sexual misconduct among them. That's not love.  Likewise Christ said that his sheep obey him. They know his voice. Paul is saying they labored for the food they have. In other words they didn't steal it so they're chargeable to no man. They are told to follow this example. See because he tells them if there's any that will not work they shall not eat. They can't be lazy. They are told with quietness in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ they work and eat their own bread. And that if any man obey not the word of this epistle and of course he is talking about this Thessalonian group being the Christian Church people/Christians that they are to have no company with such evil doers. That such men ought to be ashamed. The word closes by saying... "Yet count him not as an enemy but admonish him as a brother." This means to warn or reprimand someone firmly."

Now the last part of 2 Thessalonians 2.16 - 18 is entitled "Peace by all means." And as it is written.. "The Lord of Peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token and every epistle so I write. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all." Amen
