Keeping your own traditions and in vain do you worship the Lord

Matthew 17:5

“While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.”

As it is written that you will keep your own traditions making  to none affect the word of God. In vain do people that do such things even with the washing of cups and all the liken things that they do they are keeping the doctrines and Commandments of men. Their own traditions.

Do you know the Messiah said heaven and earth will pass away but his words will never pass away. Matthew 24.35 So either he is the king and the commander in chief of his own body of believers (congregation) or the prosperity preachers and the true Christians are. As a Christian disciple being a student one is never above their master but becomes like their master.

So here is the particular scripture..

There are a lot of different groups that say they believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. They are not all pagans. Some of them are actually real biblical Christians such as the Seventh-day Adventist. I do know about Ellen G White. Even in a sense the Jehovah witnesses are leaning towards being true believers and they are claiming to be christians but do take things out of context. Then there are the Mennonites, ana-Baptist, Amish, Mormons,  methodist,  just to name a few.  Yesterday I was looking at the Amish and I like their serious commitment to Jesus and the gospel but again perhaps they are overdoing it. Perhaps they are adding the traditions of men without realizing it. Same things were the Jewish Pharisees doing. They add the traditions of men as Jesus taught us. I heard that the Mormons have some questionable beliefs. They claim to believe in Jesus Christ. You’ve probably heard about Joseph Smith before. Then you have simply nondenominational Bible believing Christians. Not all of them take the gospel out of context. But they do add the traditions of men. Perhaps in understanding some scripture too. It happens but so many keep  doctrines and traditions of men. This has been implemented slowly over time even into professing biblical Christianity. There are biblical groups that try/do not add to the gospel. So why mention any of this? Because people misunderstand and have a tool shed of excuses. They conveniently add to the gospel and lay aside the Commandments of God. As I say we are saved by grace through faith and not by works. Ephesians 2:8-9 Then they say we’re under the new covenant. Yes there is a simplicity in Christ. That doesn’t mean we can X-out the parts we don’t like. Even though we’re under grace through faith and no one is perfect we don’t have the right to contemplate wilful sin especially if we claim to be born again Christians. We’re not perfect. No one is. But there’s a truth that is rejected. If you are truly born-again there is going to be fruits present that are proof of your conversion. You/we must renew our minds if we find ourselves falling away. See if we are in the faith. Do you know the word of God says that the Lamb of God is the unblemished lamb of God. 1 Peter 1:19 He’s perfect. He is risen and the glorified Jesus Christ that sits at the right hand of the father. He is not only the narrow way but the truth and the life.

What people do which is the truth is they stick/claim Pauls doctrine and they in a way conveniently diminish the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. When they are challenged then what they do is stick to being saved by grace through faith and not by works and that makes them in a way grasp to those traditions of men even more. Sort of gets them off the hook. They will even say all you have to do is get saved and do nothing else. Why? They will claim its a spiritual attack. They will feel not at ease because they were raised with the implementation of added doctrines and Commandments of men to the faith. Somewhere along the line things got infiltrated and taken off course. It’s explained in this video here. But they can’t accept it. If you study what the Lord is going to tell people on judgement day that he didn’t know some people there are a whole host of reasons for this.  Because there are so many different groups adding & subtracting from scripture.  Some people don’t obey him. Some people refuse to pick up their cross when necessary. They claim they are saved by grace alone through faith. It’s a free gift. Get on the bandwagon and you’ll be raptured out. Who cares about other people. I got my ticket to heaven. (I never knew you).

We can’t have it both ways. We can conveniently embrace a reprobate deprived mind blotting out where we feel it convenient and convince ourselves that it works but it doesn’t work. We have to be able to accept the truth and we have to do it in faith.  What did Paul do? He finished the good fight. (Enter in at the straight gate)
