Not having spot or wrinkle – holy without blemish

Ephesians 5:27, KJV: "That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish." ... Instead, she will be holy and without fault."

Who is the Apostle Paul speaking to in Ephesians 5:27? He is talking to the Ephesians of his day. There were problems amongst the Ephesian Christian communities just like we have problems today amongst Christians that are biblical Christian’s or those whom call themselves Christians but know him by/in name only.

So what is the discussion today?

Well Paul was addressing a serious issue/problem. Other Christians/ministers who do actually know Jesus have addressed this problem in various ways also. But there is dispute amongst biblical Christians about the method of salvation or about what one should do once they are “probably” saved. Should they just get on the bandwagon and wait to be ruptured out or should they be labourers for the Lord as they are short. One of the most shocking parts of scripture is when the Messiah tells people he never knew them as they are workers of iniquity meaning lawless. (Future speaking)To somebody that is deceived they are blind and don’t understand this. In retrospect they are hinging on the reprobate mind. On the other hand many trample the blood and shall grace abound? The apostle Paul said God forbid.

The apostle Paul was warning those Ephesians that they were falling away. We understand this today as backsliders. He did the same thing when he went through certain cities where he saw people worshipping idols. He warned them about the coming judgement and about hell.  Now how can either Churches that minister to a small fraction of people in conjunction to mega churches or simply christians themselves be found in the body off Christ not having spot or wrinkle – holy without blemish? Oh yes when we are washed in the blood and have been saved, born again and have faith in Christ and in his finished work on the cross than we are in-essence forgiven our sins and most likely seen a whiter than snow but still there are backsliders, people without understanding and people that serve two masters and they “just” cannot let go of the world. It is written know the truth and the truth will set you free. Is the truth God knows as apposed to your truth even if you are truly saved the same? I think not. His mind is above ours. The earth is his foot stool. You know Gods word warns us not to add or subtract from scripture. Of course as various pagan customs have entered even into biblical Christianity these things are accepted and excuses are made. Now of course there are even some Christian ministers that realized this and stated such and stopped themselves from doing those things. Of course “some” christians will say we are save by grace through faith so it really is water under the bridge. If the biblical lord Jesus Christ is truly lord and the real king being the high priest of his own body that he purchased with his own blood and some believers don’t obey him but utilize all the tools of excuses how can you present to him your part as a Christian or minister of Christ “Not having spot or wrinkle – holy without blemish”. See the hypocritical blinder. Is it just a matter of getting saved and standing on the sideline waiting for the rapture flight to take you to heaven? The word of Gods tells us about the end times and the great falling away from morals. The parable about the virgins that  have oil in their lamps was another indication in parable of what is required or expected. Christ did not tell the rich young ruler what he wanted to hear. Follow me he said. He was instructed to give up his rich comfortable lifestyle. Why? Because you can’t serve two masters as you will love one and hate the other. In other words you will be attracted to one and despise the other.

Ever hear that saying a penny for your thoughts. Paul finished the good fight. What about you? Have you fallen away? Are you a hypocrite? Are you a backslider? Do you really know the biblical Lord Jesus Christ? Or do you simply just know about him and in name only?

I am always reminded of John 10:10 referring to the thief and how he comes to rob, steal and destroy. Who is your master? So I got a couple things to say in conclusion. First of all the lord Jesus Christ said he came to give the blind sight and take it away from those whom say they see, as some people are blinded by the God of this world and have squandered/used their talents not for the Lord. Lazarus was raised from his sleep. I’m going to say that again please listen, Lazarus was raised from his sleep what about you? Have you examined yourself to see if you are in the faith. Gods word says to contend for the faith. Jude 1:3 Reference John 11:11 Do you guard your words? Do you see Jesus said that men will not live on bread and water alone but by every idle word that proceeds forth out of the mouth of God. What is the intent? I mean if a pasture or a street preacher is preaching a solid gospel that offends people and they uses many words this is done to instruct with doctrine and to teach.

When it is written that the truth can set you free thats profoundly the truth. What does it mean to you to serve the master? How can you iron out the wrinkles when you can’t forgive others. How can you iron out the wrinkles when you can’t except that God given truth. Jesus said what defiles men or women is not what goes into their bodies but what comes out of their mouth. 12:44 am today

So don’t misconstrue the point. I’ll leave you with what the apostle Peter said. The Conversation/talk of the world is anything but holy. James 4.4

1 Peter 1:15-17 King James Version

15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your “sojourning” here in fear:

Psalms 111:9

“He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.”

King James Version (KJV)
