 John 14.6: "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." 

 What is the meaning of life? You know there are singers like George Harrison who wrote a song called "What is life". There are many songs written on life. Many love songs too.  People see Life as the physical being. People see Life in a sense as in things. People find life and comfort in Arts, and Culture. People find life in sports and recreation. People even find life in profanity. People make a way of life in things that are sinful and full of abominations. I mean we can go on forever and define what is life. For example: There are some people that had a comfortable life and probably passed away after raising a family and found Love in their life. Not all of these people may have been believers in the Lord Jesus Christ or even God. But in their comfort and in their so-called defined successes there could have been betrayal or a superficial vision.

On the other hand, you could have people that served in the war and gave their lives so people could have freedom. Their names are on monuments so people won't forget them. Some people do forget them. You could have people fighting a war over territory that is not theirs with evil intent. You have children dying of cancer and people dying of many different diseases. Some of these people did not even get to live a life while others may have obtained fame, fortune have got to travel and experience things others never got a chance to. So how is that fair then? People have so many questions. So, what is the answer. In all this wickedness wrapped in evil along with the good things in life there has to be in answer. And there is. Light came into the world and Men perceived darkness. They did not perceive the light. To the ignorance of many atheists God does exist. He is the God of the Bible and a God "I AM" of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Yes, even the God of Joseph and the God of David the king. The gospel outlines how a believer is to live who believes in the Messiah. So, the lord Jesus Christ said repent and believe in the gospel. Mark 1:15 God gave us the Bible being his word and so many people are ignorant to what's inside of it. They don't take the time to read it. It tells us to be friends with the world is enmity with God. James 4:4 Why? Because it's full of sin and the evil wickedness thrives. But this is exactly what people do and they find life in that. Those things that they find life in are abominations to God. Romans 6.23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." But they/the lost/deceived just don't believe what is written or what people preach to them that it is written. They continue to live deceived being many people. In all the parables that Jesus Christ taught people this is explained with great detail. 

The meaning of life is to find the meaning of life. It is to have a relationship with God. That means a relationship with his son being the lord Jesus Christ. Before Christ was born people had a relationship with God. Abraham was the father of many nations. Others had a relationship with God as did lot and Job. The Lord defines in his word what a relationship with God/him is and how one is to go about to obtain that. To worship him in spirit and truth. John 4:24 To pray and to forgive others. Salvation is of the Lord as it is written. Christ was a man well acquainted with sorrows and even cried when he found out Lazarus was dead. He had heart. So much so that he raised Lazarus from the dead. As written God highly esteem a contrite man or woman. He humbles the proud. People find strength in the physical. What do I mean? Say somebody swears at you and if you don't know Christ and you are of the world your reaction probably will be to swear back and to react and in an angry way. Hopefully not physical. Matter a fact I seen this in Walmart one day as two men started to fight because one man told the other one to go f*** himself/off. Fortunately, they abandoned their fight. One younger fella told a bigger man he insulted that he called f** that in the ring outside (The Streets) he would lose. These types of young people who see Life in this way see it as a physical match. But the Lord Jesus Christ taught to turn the other cheek and offer the other one. And people in your weakness there is strength. But people don't believe what is written.  People are a custom to living by the flesh. Living by the carnal mind. Jesus did not tell people what they wanted to hear. He upset many people when he did this. Especially the religious teachers/elite of his day. Jesus said if you want to enter into life keep the commandments. He said his sheep hear his voice and obey. Matter fact he said he had another fold that he must bring. John 10:16 So, he extended Salvation to others being the gentiles. Bless the lord for John 3:16 as well (Amen). Many people swim in a sea of sins and they have not been forgiven even if they are under the impression that they have been. James 5:16 There is no other name given unto man in which he might be saved but that of the biblical Jewish Jesus Christ. Why do I say the biblical Jewish Jesus Christ? Because the gospel tells us there is another Jesus and another gospel being preached unto the world that no angel in heaven ever preached. Galatians 1:8 The devil deceives the whole world as God's word says. He deceived the world of whom the person of the Lord Jesus Christ truly is. He counterfeits everything as we are told. And people are so easily swayed and start serving two masters. The Lord Jesus Christ said you have to deny yourself. But so many people don't do this. What they do mostly is all the things that are abominations to God they bring these into their own lives and live deceived. The Bible says it like this. "Thinking themselves to be wise they became fools." Romans 1:22 Another way evident was when the devil wanted to sift Peter and the Lord Jesus Christ said to Satin through Peter to get behind him. Matthew 16:23 He/Christ said to the devil that he does not saver the things that be of God but the things that be of men. Christ came to destroy the works of the devil. But people who profess to be believers who are not true believers uphold things that Christ came to destroy are deceived/live wicked. They are so ignorant and live deceived that they don't even see that. On the day of judgement as it is written some people are going to be told by the lord Jesus Christ, he never knew them even though they professed to be believers. He will say depart from me.  Matthew 7:21-23

  

Throughout the centuries there have been people saved. ((Amen)) & most likely there have been people lost too. Christ said unless a man is born again, he cannot enter into his kingdom. John 3:3 He also said It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Matthew 19:24 He must be reborn of incorruptible seed. The spiritual rebirth where everything is made new. You know them whom don't walk by the carnal man. As they say that old man has been buried with Christ. You'll see things in the new light now. You end up despising most things you once loved. You now see with the eyes of Christ. Not with the eyes of the sinful world. You see the world loves its own as written. John 15:19 Those that identify with it and that take part in its wickedness and its betrayal. 

Recently, I was researching and studying history. That is biblical history of the people that were given over to slavery. I'm referring to the Jewish people as prophets had prophesied and warned Israel that God would give them over to such if they didn't turn from their sins. There was idol worshiping among them too. And they were given over to Babylon and even to Egypt. Now in modern day you have a lot of people with a lot of modern idols but they don't see that. They wonder why there is so much evil in the world. God put life and death before people but people choose death and think that it's life. Deuteronomy 30:15 They fight so hard to hold on to those things that are of the world and not of God. They're enslaved to worldliness. 

 In conclusion. 

What do I mean by this? What is life?  The way the deceived/lost see Life, that is their perceptions of life, and the way the gospel/Christ defines life is not the same at all. The word of God tells us to not lean on our own understanding. Proverbs 3:5-6 Many people are destroyed for a lack of understanding. The lord Jesus Christ said he is the way, the truth and the life. In Matthew 19:17 he said "17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments." Today we are under grace but that does not mean you will not perish. 

 Christ's teachings were profound and rich. Especially his parables. My suggestion is to open up your eyes and your ears and hear the word of the Lord. True salvation is of the Lord. Spend time reading God's word instead of being worldly. Spend time learning the true meaning of life which is to know what sin is and not swim in it. It is to obey the word of the Lord. It is to do onto others. It is to repent and believe in the gospel. It is to deny yourselves. It is to renew your mind and walk with the Lord and not with the sinful world. It is to have no idols and no other gods before the true God as he is a jealous God. ((Exodus)) It is to live in the spirit and not the flesh. As written in Matthew 4:4 "4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." This is the profound truth. Don't make Gods house a house of mechanize John 2:16 Make it a house of prayer instead.
